Samesurf invented the ability to block sensitive web elements and input fields like credit card numbers, personally identifiable information and other forms of data from being seen by unauthorized users during shared sessions. Our technology also has the ability to block or redact any field or class of content within individual webpages or other forms of content.

Samesurf is widely noted for solving the issues that emanate from alternative real time collaboration and visual engagement technologies. These shortcomings include install and coding requirements, subpar graphical fidelity, lack of support across platforms, one-way interactivity, limited user counts and exceedingly high resource utilization rates for elements like CPU, GPU and bandwidth.

Samesurf does not store, effect or process any of the individual elements that occur within individual co-browsing sessions. No data is ever written to disc and all transmitted data is disposed of at the conclusion of every individual session. Samesurf stores generic analytics information relating to URL history, interaction history, session duration and participant numbers if and only if these elements are authorized for capture by our clients. This analytics information originates within the Samesurf database and is then displayed within our dashboard or for client access via our Server Side REST API.

Samesurf has developed a truly unique and patented feature that enables the leader to pass control to any other session participant within the same page by clicking a single button. Samesurf also recently launched a multi-leader mode function that allows all collaborators to interact with the same content without having to pass control at all. These types of in-page joint interaction and control passing are non-invasive alternatives to remote desktop that solve the security and performance issues that are significant drawbacks of that competing technology.

In comparison to real time collaboration offerings that define themselves as “video first” platforms which treat content sharing as a secondary point of emphasis, Samesurf is a “content-first” offering that also integrates world class video chat, voice & other complementary systems to properly simulate the experience of being together in real time.

Samesurf supports sharing of all forms of content including static, framed, presentation and rich media content without ever forcing users to expose sensitive elements on their desktop. Our co-browsing solution is the first and only offering to support synchronized browsing of sophisticated web technologies like WebGL and SVG Animations as competing offerings are limited to supporting much more simplistic websites.
